Reno
Well, the very first thing I did in this bathroom was remove the strange drop down ceiling and lights to raise the ceiling height.
Nice catch Gracie. And guess what? That's all I got. For some incredibly strange reason I do not have any photos of the reno process in this room! So strange?! Well, I guess this will be quick and to the point.
Fast forward to after the shiplap, vanity makeover, new light fixtures, paint, wall paper and flooring…
Without further ado!

The most budget friendly bathroom makeover you have ever seen!
I bought THREE items for this room. Literally 3. This was budget DIY at its very best.
The shiplap was left over from the girls' bedroom.
The wall paper was left over from the master bathroom reno from our second fixer upper.
The white paint for the shiplap and the walls was leftover from our exterior renovation.
The paint for the mirrors and the vanity was the paint sample for our master bedroom renovation.
The vanity knobs were removed from the old kitchen cabinets.
The flooring was from the basement renovation in our second fixer upper, and everything else we had stored in boxes from our second house.
The 3 items I bought?
Those two chandeliers and the cute bathroom sign between the mirrors.
Light, bright and airy is always my go to for bathrooms! Also a secret to keeping a white shower curtain – double sided curtain hooks!
I love these double sided hooks because you can take off the curtain to wash it without having to remove the liner as well!! LOVE them.
I used this same chandelier in the first floor bathroom reno at the Colonial fixer upper. One of the main reasons I love this light is that the light faces downward. Perfect for lighting over sinks or countertops. I am sure I will find another place for one when we build.
I thought this sign was cute. And the hanging mason jar board was a gift from my sister-in-law a couple years ago that I used to have hanging in our laundry closet from our kitchen renovation in the Colonial fixer upper.
